DISH DVR Player 522

Continuing our reviews of the major DISH DVR Players today we review the DISH DVR Player 522. The DVR 522 has all the features that we saw in yesterdays review of the DVR 510 such as the Extended Electronic Program Guide and the 120 GB hard drive. These features and others were explained in yesterdays DVR Player review so if you are unfamiliar with the terms you may want to read the review if you have not already.

One of the major features of the DISH DVR Player 522 is that it has two satellite tuners in one. This means that it has the ability to record two programs at the same time whereas the DVR Player 510 is limited to just one. It also allows you to watch a live program while recording another which is a major advantage as well as allowing you watch a pre recorded program while you record two other programs at the same time.

The DISH DVR Player 522 also has custom program controls giving you more power over how your DVR works. This includes parental control, program information, picture in guide view, on demand weather reports, favorite lists and other features. This DISH DVR Player 522 also comes with 2 platinum plus remotes, these remote come with Picture in Picture (PIP) capabilities. PIP is a video effect which places several complete images on the screen at the same time
