Video Recording to PSP using new Sony DVR

Sony has announced the addition of three new Sony DVR recorders to their RDZ series. These new Sony DVR recorders not only make video recording directly to a PSP (Playstation Portable) possible but also appear to be the first integrated DVR recorders and DVR recorders in one.

The Sony DVR recorders come with 400GB or 250GB hard drives depending on the model. They have one digital tuner for HDTV and two analog tuners to standard television. This means you can record three television broadcasts at the same time.

The Sony DVR recorders appear to be well designed for transferring data to other formats, you can record video to your PSP, burn it to DVD, and even transfer it across your home network.

There is also a Sony DVR recorder with a 500GB in this series; unfortunately this device lacks the ability to record video to a PSP. They are due for release in Japan on May 19, but no prices have yet been specified.
