Apple DVR Speculation

There has been a rise and fall in speculation of an actual Apple DVR becoming a reality. About 3 months ago there was a number of rumors that an Apple DVR was in development and would become the next competitor to TiVo.

However speculation of an Apple DVR was dismissed because it simply did not make sense for Apple to produce hardware or PC software that would allow you to download and store content for free. They would be directly out competing themselves since they are the number one seller of online video.



However one solution could be a small piece of hardware which can connect your PC to your TV and communicate between the two allowing Apple to bring their online music and video direct to the television. Apple already has a similar product called AirPort Express for connecting your PC with your Hi Fi so that you can play your iTunes music directly through your Hi Fi.
