Comcast HD DVR with TiVo

A while ago it was reported that the cable company Comcast had teamed up with TiVo which would result in TiVo supplying their DVRs to Comcast. Since that time all has been relatively quiet but now Comcast is to start beta testing their HD DVR (high definition digital video recorders) with TiVo software next month. Although this is just a rumor it probably holds true since so far nothing from the two companies has been heard regarding the partnership.

This is a move in the right direction for TiVo since their partnership with DirecTV looks shaky and is unlikely to continue for the long term. A solid partnership with Comcast will be a great help to secure the company into profit as so far it has been running at a loss.
