TiVo introduces PSP & iPod support using TiVo2Go

The new version of TiVo2Go Desktop software has brought the ability to make transfers to your favorite portable devices such as your iPod and PSP completely automated. Your TiVo DVR will record your TV show and realizing that you also wanted it on your PSP or iPod it will automatically transfer it to your PC. Then the TiVo2Go desktop software will recode it to the correct format and await you to plug in your portable PSP or video iPod.

This latest technology from TiVo for the TiVo2Go software is really making your personal TV experience portable allowing you to easily watch your favorite programs on the move.

There are a few downsides to the software though, firstly it costs $24.95. Secondly the way the video is recoded is slightly limited. For the PSP TV shows cannot be played back in the normal 480x272 resolution, which is not a major problem but it would be nice to see the TV shows taking up the full screen. TiVo have said the limitation is to protect the rights of content owners.
