While ATandT are expanding their premium U-Verse IPTV offering they are launching their new Homezone service in an attempt to further penetrate into video services.

Homezone is a partnership between ATandT and the DISH network allowing ATandT to provide a networked DVR for the Homezone services which comes with the following functionality:
- Access to satellite channels
- Internet Access
- Ability to record satellite TV to the DVR hard drive
- Remote recording scheduling through a website
- Ability to show photos and play music from a home computer

The Homezone DVR will only be available in standard definition although ATandT intends to introduce a high definition model also.
